Sanskrit name: Muladhara – root

Location: Perineum

Qualities: Foundational. Energetic ties to family, culture, community, spirit of the earth, environment and home, health, and money, as foundational for sense of Self. Grounded in the energy of trust, safety, being supported, and stability.

  • The vortex faces downwards from our body and feeds earth to nervous system, like mycelium to a tree.
  • The feeling of being plugged in to healthy, supportive energy feels like rest in our nervous system.
